Distribution of Warm Clothes and Educational Materials – Bajura

The Community Development Center Nepal (CDC Nepal) organized a support program in Himali Rural Municipality–2 of Bajura District to assist students living in remote and snow-prone areas. The program aimed to ensure that children from economically disadvantaged families can continue their education comfortably during the harsh winter season.

Under this initiative, educational materials and school bags were distributed to 135 students studying in four schools within the ward. In addition, 179 students studying at the local secondary school received warm winter clothing including jackets, caps, school bags, and educational materials to help them stay protected from the cold weather and continue their studies without interruption.

The Community Development Center Nepal (CDC Nepal) organized a school support program aimed at assisting students from marginalized and economically disadvantaged communities in Birendranagar Municipality, Surkhet.

At Shiva Secondary School, Ward No. 11 of Birendranagar Municipality, the organization distributed 50 school bags along with educational materials to 50 students from Dalit and Badi communities. The initiative was designed to encourage school attendance and support students who face financial barriers to accessing basic educational resources.

In addition, with the generous support of donor Mr. Ongchu Sherpa, CDC Nepal implemented a winterization support program at Shree Nepal Rastriya Basic School, Chadanichauki, Birendranagar Municipality–9, Surkhet. During this program, jackets and school bags were distributed to 50 students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, helping them stay warm and continue their education during the winter season.

During the distribution event, Ms. Radha Matangi, Chairperson of Community Development Center Nepal, and Mr. Resham Nepali, Treasurer, reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to continuing similar initiatives to support vulnerable communities in the future.

The program was honored by the presence of Mr. Rishi Giri, Ward Chairperson of Birendranagar Municipality–9, and Mr. Nim Bahadur Shah, former Principal of the school, whose participation encouraged students and strengthened community support for educational development.
