About Us

Community Development Center Nepal (CDC Nepal) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization committed to fostering sustainable development and empowering rural and marginalized communities in Nepal. Established in 2082 B.S. (2025 A.D.), CDC Nepal is officially registered with the District Administration Office, Surkhet, and affiliated with the Social Welfare Council under the Social Welfare Act of Nepal.

Operating primarily in Surkhet and its surrounding districts, CDC Nepal addresses the socio-economic challenges faced by marginalized, vulnerable, and disaster-affected populations all over the country. Our mission is to build a safe, prosperous, and equitable society through an integrated and participatory approach that ensures community ownership and long-term impact.

CDC Nepal focuses on four core thematic areas:

  • Education: Promoting access to quality education for all.
  • Health: Enhancing community health and well-being through awareness and services.
  • Sustainable Livelihoods: Strengthening income-generating opportunities and food security.
  • Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM): Building resilient communities through preparedness and response initiatives.

We believe in inclusive development, grassroots empowerment, and collaborative partnerships to bring lasting change in the lives of those who need it most.
